ASEE Recognizes Dampier for Dedication to Education

Dr. David Dampier recently earned recognition from the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) for his dedication to education. He received the Outstanding Teaching Award for the ASEE Southeast section.

Dampier is the director of the Distributed Analytics and Security Institute (DASI) which is part of the High Performance Computing Collaboratory. He is also director of the Center for Computer Security Research and the Forensics Training Center.

Founded in 1893, ASEE furthers education in engineering and engineering technology through research, service and leadership. The non-profit organization provides professional opportunities for engineering faculty through increased communication amongst educational institutions, government officials and corporations.
